Great win for us last night beating All Saints 6-3 with good averages and good scoring with some great finishing.
Special mention to Will Gill on his 97 finish - Peter Morris with steady darts hitting a 140 on his was to victory and Dave Egerton hitting a steady 100.
Also discussed about the match board and all agreed the original board will be used. Practice play will be used on the new boards so more players get time on the board.
Great win lads lets keep this going !!

McGinteys to Good for The Spellow!!
It show's the difference between 2 leagues :
McGinteys started very strong againts Marc Hughes. Marc lost his first game of the season against a player who hit an 11 dart game. That was Closely followed by Will Gill losing to a player who hit a 15 dart leg. Bob Cooper should of won to make it 2-1 but couldnt finish the leg off missing to many darts at a double,meaning it was 3-0 before we could blink. Neil Rush pulled a leg back with a solid leg and Dave Egerton likewise making it 3-2 Mcginteys. Bob Cooper Snr , Mick Hughes , Keith Savage and Richie Lunt all played steady darts just coming up short. Meaning the final score was 7-2 to a Very Strong Very Good Premier League team.
Very good experience for us McGinteys showing us the standards we have to aim for to fight with the big teams in the big league when we get there.
Over-All as Captain im gutted of the outcome as I know we all like to win but im also proud of the lads who put in a very good effort against a very good outfit.
Lets move on and look forward to our game next week in the league as I know we can get back to winning ways.

Harradon 3 - 6 Spellow
Great win last night lads good performance by all . Steady darts by Neil Rush (106) Dave Egerton (100) Mick Hughes (108) and Bob Cooper Jnr (120) got us over the line in a mixed game of fortunes.
Leading 4-1 The Harradon pulled a few legs back making it 4-3 . Putting the pressure on Alex Tweedle who won that important leg to make it 5-3 Mick Hughes rounded the night off with a score of 108 and his famous double 1 finish..

Lads its been a really hard tough few weeks with the decision regards staying or leaving the Spellow due to new owners taking over again and unsettling alot of our players.
Its now been agreed through a vote we will now be playing from The County Pub on County Road , Corner of Hale Road.
I'd like to thank Lillian and everyone at the Spellow for everything they have done for us over the past 10 weeks and wish them well in the future.

NO Game this week lads 6th Feb its been rearranged to a later date in the year due to players away at the darts in the Echo arena.
The Week after is the Individuals on the 13th Feb... Marc Hughes is (Away) at May Duncans , Dave Cunningham is (Away) at The Hawthorne , and Bob Cooper Jnr is at (Home) The County. These ties are block games of 4 playing down to 1 winner.
As soon as i have all the details ill post the draw in full for everyone to see.
Next league game is on the 20th Feb (Away) at The Farmers (Ex Prince George). This tie should of been at home but due to them not having a venue earlier in the season it was rearranged to play at our place first. I'll speak to Arthur to make sure they are aware of it.

Elm Tree 5 - 4 The County (Spellow)
Must admit lads we where very ufortunate last night starting doubles was our downfall...
The lads at the Elm Tree all played very well and with us 4-0 down i thought the worst. We dragged out a few games to push the night all the way just coming unstuck losing 5-4 ...
Special mentions go to Bob Cooper Jnr hitting a 123 and tin hating the lad and Marc Hughes hitting a 121 ...
