League Rules.
1. All clubs accepted and registered in the Low Hill and District will be charged £15.00 registration fee and clubs entering more than one team must pay the same for each team.
2. All clubs registered take 2 tote books each week (8 Free tickets).
3. Three free handbooks to clubs.
4. Only bona-fide amateur dart players shall be eligible to play in league or competition games orginised by the League, such players having signed a club registration for wich must be in the league Secretary's hands not later than three days before playing in any match. Memebers must be over the age of 18.
5. New Players may sign thoughtout the season.
6. Players may transfer throughout the season with the club involved paying a fee of £2.00. Such transfers to be at the discretion of the Management Committee.
7. Clubs playing ineligible players will be fined £5.00 and points will be awarded to opponents. This rule will apply to all previous games in which the ineligible players have played.
8. Protests for breach of rules must be forwarded to the league Secretary in writing within three days of the match taking place and accompanied by a fee of £1.00. Also a copy of the same be sent to the Secretary of the opposing club. Should the protest be turned down, the £1.00 fee will be forfeited to the league funds.
9. No club will be admitted to the league after the closing date made by Management Committee unless by special permission.
10. The Annual Genenral Meeting will be at the close season of each season. Date fixed by Committee.
11. The Management Committee will have the power to deal with anything that may arise and is not covered by these rules.
12. a) Secretaries and Captains of the winning teams Home and Away must see that all score cards from league games are fowarded to the league Secretary. If the score cards have not been received by 10 days points will not be awarded.
b) Score cards in competition black games if not received within 10 days the players concerned will not be included in the next round.
c) The above rule applys in K.O Cup, 6-A-Side , 4 A-Side and all Competition games.
13. All players Signatures to be on official registration form or extra signing form no paper entrants will be accepted.
14. No players registration form will be accepted with less than 8 in the Ladies section and 10 in the Gents. Unless management committee give special permission.
15. League meeting will be held at Brunel Hotel, Breck Road, on the first Sunday of each month at 12.00 noon prompt.
16. All communications shall be forwarded to the league Secretary who shall conduct all correspondence.
17. No Business other than that on the Agenda will be discussed at a League Meeting unless notice has been given to the league Secretary 7 days previous to the commencement of a meeting.
18. Fixture Boooks will be issued to all clubs paid through their registration.
19. Match or League money will be collected at each League meeting.
20. The Annual General Meeting will be at the close of each season Date ficed by the management Committee.
21. Where a house has two teams they are to be contructed as two seperate clubs. The transfer rule to apply.
22. All re-arrangements of matches to be made 7 days prior to game.
23. Only gents may sign for gents and ladies for ladies section.
24. Any club not turning up for 3 consecutive games will be expunged from League.
25. All League Matches will be played on Tuesday (Ladies) Thursday (Gents). Matches must commence not later than 8:46pm. Teams not having a Player on the Oche at the time will forfeit the first game. There will be a period of TEN minutes allowed for the club delaying the start place another man on the Oche : Failing to do so, they will lose the second game. Should no playerbe on the oche by 9:00pm the game will be awarded to their opponents. In all matches the last game must be on the Oche not later than 15 minutes before Closing Time of Licenced Houses, teams delaying the start will forfeit unplayed games.
26. Teams will consist of NINE players a side who must sign a Scorecard provided by the league before playing their game, such Signatures to be in ink or indelible Pencil. Scorecards must be signed by each team Captain at the conclusion of each game. Teams turning up with one or two Players short will forfeit their games, But more than two players short, match will be awarded to opponents. Each Captain must keep must keep a record book and correct record of each match must be shown. Both Captains to sign each others book at the conclusion of each Match. such records to be at disposal of the league Secretary, who may demand to see them at any time he thinks it necessary.
27. Games will be played by the individual players and to be of 301 up, Double start and finish and regualtion 20 top boards, which shall be adequately lighted and fixed to the wall with the centre of Bull 5 feet 8 inches from the floor. An Oche will be fixed to the floor 8 feet from the face of the board , measured along the floor, and players must stand behind it. OCHE shall be a minimum size of 18 inches, Maximum 30 inches, Visiting players will throw first in each game. The Bull (50) is off or game shot. Should a player be given off by the referee, and this Dart falls out of the board before completion of the throw, he mustagain throw for a starting double. All games must finishwith the "Bursting Rule".
28. In all games the home team is responsible for providing a marker or a score taker. . The visiting team the Referee or a Caller out. who shall inform a player, or request the score obtained, and the marker shall announce the number required. Method of marking games shall shall be subtration and must show the number required , the number scored , also the number that is left. Players shall withdraw their own arrows.
29. Method of awarding points shall be TWO for a win. Teams scoring most points will be adjudged the winners. In the event of a tie for honours. Teams shall play off on a neutral board to be decided by the Management Committee.
30. Teams disbanding from the League during the first half of the season their record will remain after which points will be awarded to their opponents.
31. Subsidiary Competitions will be run during each season at the discretion of the Management Committee, and Clubs are expected to enter them.
32. Trophies for Challenge Competitions will be privided by the league, such trophies to be the sole property of the league and connot be won outright. Medals or similar prizes will be provided to the fullest extent of league funds. Licensees are expected to accept Full Responsibility for all trophies whilst in their possession and to see that they are retured to the league in good condition at the conclusion of each playing season.
33. PLease check your monthly flash thoughtly incase any player is left out of competitions if so inform the league secretary immediately any later will cause disappointment.
34. If a league game ends 3-3 or 4-4 and both sides have no more players , either the 2 captains play for a decider or inform the league and re-arrange a re-match.
35. no Block games can be rearranged.
36. All players are allowed practise darts before their game.
